The book arrived at a time when relatively few comprehensive inorganic laboratory texts were available. As one reviewer noted, “only four were published in the 90s: Szafran, Pike, and Singh’s Microscale Inorganic Chemistry , the 3rd edition of Angelici’s classic Synthesis and Technique in Inorganic Chemistry updated by Girolami and Rauchfuss, Tanaka and Suib’s Experimental Methods in Inorganic Chemistry , and the 1st edition of Woollins’ Inorganic Experiments ”. In this context, Woollins’ volume filled an important niche. Inorganic Experiments Woollins.pdf
